What to Expect at Peninsula Eyecare
When you arrive at Peninsula Eyecare, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly team before one of our staff members performs your initial pre-testing to assist the optometrist during your examination.
Your consultation with our therapeutically endorsed optometrist will include a comprehensive eye examination tailored to your individual visual and eye health needs. During your appointment, we assess your vision and screen for a wide range of eye conditions and diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, cataracts, and other ocular or systemic health concerns.
Where clinically recommended, additional diagnostic testing such as OCT retinal scans and Visual Field testing may be performed to provide a more detailed assessment of your eye health.
Following your examination, your optometrist will discuss the results with you and explain any recommended treatment or management options. If specialist care is required, we have strong relationships with a number of highly regarded ophthalmologists throughout Brisbane and can arrange referrals when necessary.
If new glasses are recommended, you’ll then be looked after by one of our knowledgeable optical dispensers, who will guide you through frame selection and recommend lenses suited to your lifestyle, visual needs, and budget.
Using our new Rodenstock ImpressionIST® technology, we take highly precise biometric measurements to customise your Rodenstock lenses specifically to you — helping deliver exceptional comfort, clarity, and visual performance. Once your glasses are ready, we’ll contact you to arrange collection and fitting.
